Sawyer didn't know how it started, but he, Mason, and Teddy started working out together on the off days of practice. Jack didn't want to put in the extra effort, which wasn't a surprise. George and Lewis spent time with their family, and Sawyer didn't know if Mason ever asked Olivia to join or not. Not that Sawyer ever cared before. He did for a hot minute, but now he was back to not caring. Thinking of her still made his heart flutter, but now it made his chest tighten and heart. He might have built a wall around his heart, but one small earthquake would cause it to tumble to the ground. He was bench pressing while Mason was his spotter. Teddy was on the treadmill. He was working on his second set of ten, on number four, mostly tuning out what his Captain was saying, until he heard Liv's name. Sawyer was extending his arms when Mason said, "Shame about Liv." "What about her," he asked, exhaling. Pushing up with five. "Falcon's offered to buy out her contract." His arms didn't even extend all the way until the bar came crashing down on his chest, causing Mason to quickly react and grab it off of him, setting the bar on rest. "Are you okay?" Sawyer was coughing, but was only thinking of Liv. "What about her?" Mason furrowed his brows. "They offered to buy out her contract. She has until tomorrow to give them her answer. From what her and I have talked about, she's going to take it." His heart and mind were racing. They weren't talking, but they had gone in waves for months, always crashing back into each other. But if she left for the Falcons', she would be with Elio forever. He couldn't imagine not seeing those whiskey eyes, her raven black hair, feeling her full lips against his, her flesh pressed against his. Fuck, no matter how hard he tried, he loved her. "I have to go," he said sitting up, grabbing a towel to wipe off the sweat and left the stadium, apparating to Olivia's flat, typing in the door number from when she was sick, going up to her apartment number, knocking desperately on the door. The wind billowed through the streets as Olivia made her way back to her flat, pulling her jacket closer to her body as she walked. She had been working out with Caty like she did most Saturdays, but she left early to come home. There was a big decision she was needing to make and she thought she finally made it. She needed to talk to Elio.
Pushing the door open, Liv stepped inside and looked up to see him sitting on the couch, his lips spread into a wide smile. She closed the door behind her and slowly set aside her bag and took off her jacket, draping them on the bench beside the door. "Welcome home," he said, rising from his seat to walk toward her. Something about her made him hesitate, however, once he got a good look at her face. His smile faltered and he stood still just a few feet in front of her.
"It's him, isn't it?" Her dark eyes met his, her heart constricting. Elio was everything she could ever want in a man, but she could no longer deny that the spark was not there. Olivia nodded slowly. He let out a heavy sigh. "I think I've known since the luncheon," he said a little dejectedly. "I just couldn't miss my chance."
"I'm sorry, Elio." She felt like the worst person in the world, her heart twisting with guilt and pain, and her gaze shifted from his face to the floor. Olivia chewed on her bottom lip until warm hands were resting on each of her arms, pulling her in for an embrace. "I don't regret our time together," he whispered, his lips buried in her hair. "You're an incredible woman." She lifted her head to look him in the eye, seeing the small, sad smile on his lips and the kindness behind his stare.
Liv stood off to the side as he carried his bags to the door. "Well, I guess this is goodbye." Liv nodded, but offered him a regretful smile. It wasn't her intention to lead him on or hurt him, but it wouldn't be fair to anyone if she continued a relationship while she was in love with someone else. "Goodbye, Elio."
After Elio left, Olivia took a nice, long shower. She let the hot water run over her for nearly an hour before she got out, covering herself in a robe and using her towel to dry her hair. She was getting ready to start her skincare routine when she heard a frantic knocking at her door. Her eyebrows knitted together, her fingers working through her hair as she walked through her flat to the door. Olivia opened it to reveal Sawyer Rhodes standing there breathing heavy. "Sawyer," she breathed, taking a step back. "What are you doing here?" Last she checked, he didn't care about her and wasn't talking to her.

It seemed like forever until the door opened. The sight of her took his breath away. She wasn't wearing makeup. Her hair was soaking wet. Liv was only wearing a robe, and she was still breathtaking. His eyes roved over her, taking her in, trying to get his thoughts together. They had been racing the last five minutes since Mason had told him the news. "Why didn't you tell me," he asked, blurting out.

He might not have cared anymore, or talked to her, or even looked at her, but she never stopped craving him. His words still swarmed in her mind from time to time, hearing how maliciously he tore into her, and yet... she still loved him. He was damn impossible to get over. Somehow, she knew exactly what he was talking about. "I didn't think you cared," she replied.

Her words made his chest tighten, but he understood. They had ignored each other. He said things that proved he didn't care, but he only did them to try and protect himself. Sawyer should have known that he couldn't protect himself from Olivia, no matter how hard he tried. "I didn't think you did either," he replied staring down intently at her. There were several heavy, tense moments between them. His deep ocean eyes never leaving the fathomless darkness of hers. "You can't leave," he said low and soft.

How could he think she didn't care? After all that they have been through? Olivia swallowed thickly as she stood there staring at him, unsure of what she was supposed to be doing. His stare was intense and unwavering, her dark eyes wide and doe-eyed as she met his gaze with the same intensity. He told her she couldn't leave and she felt a sharp pull at her heart. "Why not?" she asked him, genuinely wanting to know the answer. He acted like she didn't exist anymore. Clark Carter was going to buy the Wasps sooner rather than later. The reasons why she should leave kept piling up.

He swallowed at her question. His Adam's apple clearly moving at the gesture. The air escaped him, his chest becoming heavy suddenly. He had thought he had already lost her to Elio. But if she left the team and moved even farther away, he would lose her for good. Meeting her that night at the club had altered his life in so many unexpected ways. Sawyer wanted her to keep changing him. He wanted to keep feeling like he was burning alive from the inside, getting struck by lightning whenever she touched or kissed him. There were still things he had to overcome to be with her, but he was willing to work through them for her. She was worth it. Just knowing her had changed him. Being with her? It could be so much more. His hands cupped her jaw line and the back of her skull. His thumb resting on her defined cheeks. His fingers combing through her wet hair. Sawyer closed the distance between them, his lips desperately meeting hers, hoping to tell her everything with this kiss, begging her to stay, to choose him. He pushed her back into her apartment, out of the hallway. He didn't shut the door. For all he knew, she might want to shove him away again. link

Liv watched how his Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed, her eyes flicking back to his eyes, trying to decipher the storm inside them. His stare ignited something inside her, something that hadn't been lit in quite a while; it was hope that was blossoming in her chest and filling her with a bright warmth. He stepped closer to her, her heart rising to her throat, pulsing slowly. Then his hands were on her, tilting her head just slightly toward him. Olivia's lips parted, her lidded eyes watching him through her lashes before his lips were crashing to hers. This kiss was more desperate, more wanting, than any kiss they shared before. That warmth within her started to spread and burn, her body flushing. Liv waved her hand at the door, using the bit of wandless magic she knew to shut the door and lock it, before her hands were falling to rest on either side of his neck, roaming up to his face, feeling the scruff on his face, then sliding down to his shoulders before finding their final resting spot tangled in his curls.

Her lips met his with just as much wanting and yearning. They needed each other, more than just that one night in the hotel room. She had asked him that night, what would happen next. He was the one who couldn't give her more. Then it was at the luncheon when Elio asked her on a date, Liv was the one who asked if he could promise her someday. Sawyer didn't know any of that. At that time, he could say that he didn't want her dead, that he didn't hate her, that he liked her. At the thought of losing her? It felt like his entire world was going to collapse.
His insides were churning with delicious and burning waves. Every sense was overcome by her. He thought he heard the sound of the door closing, but he was so aware of his pounding heart in his ears and her breathing. Sawyer was aware of every centimeter of skin that her fingers grazed, wanting her fingers to roam, map out his entire body like an expedition. But they had done this back and forth so many times, falling into each other and then going back to ignoring each other just a few days later. Olivia needed to know once and for all how he felt. He needed her to stay.
He broke the kiss, resting his forehead against hers. His hands remaining where they were, unwilling to let her go. His lips brushed hers softly. "I love you," he whispered through their ragged breathing and the pounding of their hearts.

All Olivia ever wanted was him since the night she met him. No matter how many times he broke her heart, she still wanted him. Even when she hated him. She often wonders if she ever did hate him or if she was just that hurt. It didn't matter anymore. She was here, now, with him pressed against her in the way she has craved since July. Her heart soared in her chest as her lips moved feverishly with his, her fingers curling in his hair. Liv didn't care anymore; she would wait for him. She would wait forever for him. There was no better feeling than this, no thrill worth seeking, only Sawyer and his electric touch. He broke away, pressing his forehead into hers, and Olivia took a moment to catch her breath.
He kissed her softly, his lips brushing against hers before he whispered to her he loved her. She met his gaze, warm brown eyes shining at him while the band around her heart squeezed. A hand drifted from his hair to cup his cheek, her eyes going down to his lips. Her thumb traced the curve of his lip for a moment before she was pulling him back to her, kissing him heatedly. Olivia pulled away after a moment, looking up at him with adoration in her eyes. "I love you."

Her eyes were sweeter than honey. Sawyer kissed her wandering thumb before she pulled him in for another heated kiss. He would never freeze in the UK or if he ever went back to Pennsylvania or Massachusetts, her kisses would always warm him, ignite a fire within him. Then she said those words that he didn't think he would ever want to hear from a werewolf. But now, she wasn't even a werewolf. She was Liv, the woman he loved, and probably had been since July, but let hate overcome the amazing feeling of loving her sooner.
His hands released their grasp on her head, cascading down her figure. A warm, pleasant shudder following down his spine. He kissed her lightly. "Don't go," he said, moving his head back to stare intently into her eyes. He didn't want her to be with Elio or anyone else. He wanted her to be with him, and only him. "Tell me you're mine." [/b]

The feeling of his hands wandering down her body brought a shiver to her spine, her fingers digging in, the need for him growing stronger with every passing moment. His lips brushed against hers and he asked her not to go, to tell him she was his. Her whiskey eyes searched the ocean in his, wondering how he hadn't noticed how she felt for all those months. "I have been this whole time."

He had heard his sisters talk about their silly romance books growing up, talking about how a main character would say that the world stood still, everything stopped. He thought they were full of shit until that moment. Sawyer had never believed in true love or soul mates. None of that, no great love of his life. But the woman standing in front of him, the one he said he loved and said that she loved him back, said that she had been his this entire time. Despite his hateful comments, his discrimination, arrogance, and just everything, she still loved him, wanted him.
He stared intently at her, taking in how much she truly must love him after everything they had gone through, that she had put up with, how much he loved her for maturing and growing because of her. A strong arm enveloped her as the other cupped the back of her head. Sawyer lowered his lips slowly to hers this time, but increased the pressure, his tongue swiping against her bottom lip, requesting permission before tangling his tongue with hers.

There have been boys in the past that Olivia thought she loved. Boyfriends during her years at Hogwarts that had once sparked something in her, but every last one of them paled in comparison to Sawyer. Never had she felt such an instant connection, a deep and strong attraction, that overwhelming pull that kept bringing her back to him. She thought she had hated him at one point, overcome with hurt and heartache, but this whole time she knew deep down that she had loved him. She loved him from the first moment their lips connected.
His arms wrapped around her, his hand cupping the base of her skull, and Liv melted against him as his lips slowly came to meet hers. One of her hands slid to his arm, holding it to her as if that would keep him from disappearing on her, the other resting on his shoulder. His tongue swept along her bottom lip and she opened to him, her tongue dancing with his as he deepened the kiss. Her heart was racing in her chest, her body craving more of his touch. Reaching between them, Olivia undid the knot around her waist, letting her silk robe fall to the floor. "I need you," she murmured against his lips, pulling him closer until their chests were pressing against each other.

Her hands left his muscular arm and shoulder. Sawyer didn't want her to pull away; they had been away from each other for too long. He sensed her hands moving around his stomach through his shirt, and then felt silk fabric drape over his arms as she breathed that she needed him. Intense, damp heat swirled low in his stomach, desperately wanting Olivia, wanting to feel her soft flesh against his. Malignant energy pulsed through his veins. She pressed her chest against his, the fabric of his shirt the only barrier. "And you'll have me," he murmured back, his hands moving to the tops of her thighs as her robe finally fell to the ground. His hands lifted her up, guiding her legs around him. "Where's your room," he asked heatedly.
