"why..
....can't," Kasper huffed climbing the most damned set of stairs she'd ever crossed in her life, "there..
...be.....like, a...
Map," she continued, stopping, no she'd been here before, "...to this friggin' school!"
It was the fourth time in the last two nights that as she was returning to the dorms that the cursed stairs had moved, rerouted, and got Kasper twisted upside down! Ilvermony didn't have such Tom Foolery, "Or hooey," she mumbled the rest of her thought outloud.
The constant judgment from the portraits didn't help so when one of them started to ask her how'd she end up in the same place twice she mocked them back. She was regretting abandoning making a sketch of every where she needed to go, "But one is never lost child," one portrait of a kind old granny looking witch began, Kasper just stared slack jawed, "...if you believe everything is a new discovery!"
Kasper half smiled and with the lull of her head as she changed direction she'd roll her eyes mumbling, "...so helpful...how embarrassing of a Ravenclaw?"
They were intelligent right? Was it the Wampus within her?
Yet again she started on the damned stairs looking for Ravenclaw tower! Isabella Clarke

Bella wiped away her tears as she left the meeting, sniffling, but smiling, as Lydia placed her hand on her shoulder. Meeting her fellow students to talk about the loss of their mothers was something that she had started to look forward to, but that didn't mean it was easy. It was comforting, yet disheartening, to know that there were others who have been through the same pain that she has. Lydia was a newer addition, having just lost her mother this past November, but she was certainly a welcome one. The puff was a ball of sunshine on a bad day, but even she was having a hard time grieving the loss of someone she held so dear. The stolen objects didn't help matters, either, and that's exactly what they talked about today. Bella hugged her friend, murmuring that she would be fine, before she left to go back to Ravenclaw tower.
As she climbed the grand staircase, she tried to focus on the positives in her life. She was healthy, doing well at school, had great friends who loved and cared about her, and she had Liam. A rosy blush rose to her cheeks at just the thought of her boyfriend, her heart swelling in her chest as she thought about how happy he made her. Before long, the heavy weight of her sorrow had lifted and she was back to her cheery self. Just in time, too, because she soon came across the huffing form of Kasper Chasinghorse going the wrong way. Well, at least it was the wrong way if she was headed to Ravenclaw tower. "Hello, Kasper," Bella said kindly when she got closer. "Where are you headed?"

Kasper was almost content with just sleeping on the stairs at this point when someone called her name and she turned in their direction, "BELLLA! O-M-G," Kasper suddenly looked relaxed and she smiled brightly, "These stairs have it out for me, I swear on an honest Hufflepuff they do," she laughed and rubbed the back of her neck aggressively slightly embarrassed, "I was heading to the common room, I'm lost, help a gal out," she gave her best damsel in distress smile. Kasper was an interesting, energetic witch and Bella quite liked her company. When she was sorted into Ravenclaw, Bella took it upon herself to help the girl find her way around. Hogwarts was a massive castle with an unknown number of secret passageways and changing staircases. It was pretty easy to get lost if you didn't know your way. Bella got lost quite a few times during her first year. Kasper's reaction to seeing her had Bella's nose crinkling with delight, a laugh flowing out of her bright smile. "Well, you're in luck," she said with another laugh. "I was on my way there as well. I'll show you the way." She waited for the staircase to change back before leading Kasper up them. "How have you been enjoying Hogwarts so far?"
