Where had the time gone? Jazmina had been locked away in the library for Merlin knew how long. She'd gotten lost in research, turning page after page until the librarian had given her a tap on the shoulder. Jazmina had nearly died of fright, but her fears faded as she realized who it was. She'd missed dinner! Sometimes she was just far too engrossed in her reading. Still, she'd found good information. Thanking the librarian, she hurried out into the hallway. Jazmina had found some excellent information that she intended to put to good use once she had a safe spot to practice. The Room of Requirement might be safe. It had provided her brothers with everything they needed to throw a party, so why shouldn't it help her revive her lost brother? She was halfway down the hallway when her keychain fell out of her bag. The sound of it clattering on the floor was the only reason she turned, but that split second was all she needed to crash into someone. Her books went flying as she lost her balance. Jazzy was more concerned about her face than a few spilled books. She landed on the floor, her arms taking the brunt of the force. At least she hadn't smacked her face against the floor. Eyes wide, she gave a small huff. "Sorry. Sorry. I wasn't paying attention," she said as she sat up. She turned her head to check on whoever she'd run into. Her books lay open, one on the human anatomy. The other on unexplored magic.

Sometimes Jay just wanted things to be different she wanted for her days to deviate from the one before. Maybe because she always saw what was coming, what would be, what felt inimitable to most people, often times Jay was counted among those people. As a Seer from a long, long, long line of seers Jay had only heard of a few visions that had been changes, and she knew of exactly zero prophecies that had been avoided. She felt really sorry for those people sometimes.
There was a downside to Jay's desire for an aberrant life though, sometimes she tired to find a new path from the Great Hall to the Gryffindor common room, and sometimes she got lost in a wall for hours. While a stupid poltergeist mocked, insulted, and just generally annoyed Jay half to death.
The castle was pretty damn cool.
Coughing up dust and picking cobwebs from her colourful dreadlocks Jay stumbled out of a very narrow secret passage. Behind her a statue moved back to hide the path again. "Well it seems like that passage is meant to be a one way." Jay mumbled to herself, looking back over her shoulder while walking away.
Without warning the sharp edges of heavy books slammed into Jay, knocking the breath from the very surprised and very dusty Lioness. She heard someone apologising, but Jay was pretty sure this was on her. After all, Jay was the girl falling out of doors hidden by stone statues.
Coughing Jay rubbed her sore ribs and waved off the apology, "Nope, no worries!" She assure the other girl, wheezing as she caught her breath. "All my fault, should'a been paying attention."
