It was later than it felt now that the sun was hanging in the sky for a bit longer, though she had a better idea of the time from the way the moon hung alongside it, ripened and near full, like she could pluck it from its place and it would be as easy as taking an apple from a tree. She wouldn’t be able to get any star plotting done for her Astronomy homework for a couple of hours, but that was alright. She was just as content to be in the tower, up high, the view of the grounds and the sky almost entirely unobstructed, just how she liked it. The Ravenclaw tower was nice, but the Astronomy tower was peaceful in its own way. Not that Ravenclaws were particularly known for being loud, but the solitude was nice once in a while anyway. Anyway, she could double her Divination homework with her Astronomy, too. Mercury was out of retrograde, the eclipse had passed, and though it looked it, the moon wasn’t quite full yet. It made everything a bit more calm. At least now when people were acting odd, it wasn’t because of any of those things. She heard someone enter before she saw them. “ Venus should be bright tonight,” she said lightly, before her gaze fell on the newcomer.

Frustrated beyond belief Angel slunk up way too many stairs to get to the top of the Astronomy tower. Sure ne loved Astronomy class, but ne didn't love climbing a buttload of stairs. At least it kept nem fit, exercise and all that.
Cracking nir neck Angel shifted the bag on nir shoulder. Merlin why were books so heavy? They were just ink on dead trees.
Finally at the top of the tower Angel pushed open the door and froze. "Oh," Ne said, very intelligently, like a stereotypical Ravenclaw. "I honestly didn't think anyone else would be." Then it hit Angel: ne was wearing nir own face. Not something ne did outside of class or intentional hang outs with friends. Oh well, too late to change.
Should ne just bail? Kinda felt like it, ne didn't know the girl, but she look really busy. On the other hand though, nirs astronomy assignment was due in the morning, because Angel put off everything all of the time. "Should, um, should I just leave?" Angel asked pointing towards the door ne'd just come in through like a total dork.
Notes: Hope you don't mind me jumping in

Junie’s gaze fell on Angel, and she gave them a little smile before her gaze went back out. “I didn’t mean to surprise you,” she replied, though of course, she really hadn’t done anything surprising at all besides simply being in the Astronomy tower. She’d have thought honestly that it may have been a bit more crowded, but she supposed Astronomy perhaps wasn’t as popular a subject to continue on as some of the other ones. After all, most people continued classes with a career goal in mind, and what did one do with Astronomy? Lots of things, Junie thought, but perhaps not too much that left one with a high paying job. She’d never worried too much about that, though. She figured her path would find her when the time came.
She looked over her shoulder again when they spoke, and tilted her head to the side. “Why?” she asked curiously, her brows slightly furrowed at the question. She certainly didn’t mind if she stayed, and after all, it wasn’t as though Juniper owned the tower anyway. “It’s quiet up here tonight,” she observed. “I think there’s plenty of room here for both of us, don’t you?”

Bella wasn't athletic; she was rubbish on a broom and hated exercising unless it was dancing or, her favorite, walking to the Astronomy tower. The stones have most certainly been worn down some by her feet alone on the path that would take her from her dorm to the tower. Since her first year, Bella has made it almost a ritual to come up to the top of the Astronomy tower to gaze at the stars to feel a little bit closer to her mother. The stars saved her from despair when the pain of losing her had been too much and she was utterly devoted to them. Used to be that she'd bring her mother's blanket, her telescope, and her journal with her for a night on the observation deck, but those items were lost to her, stolen by some unknown person. It pained her to still be missing those items just as much as it pained her that someone had been capable of this. Bella had always seen nothing but good in others.
Her thighs were quite accustomed to the climb to the deck and barely even tingled when she made it to the top. She had thought she heard voices during her ascent, so she wasn't entirely surprised when she came across two of her housemates. Dark eyes moved to each of them as a smile pulled at her lips. "Good evening, Juniper. Angel. I hope I'm not disturbing you guys," she said to them. She pulled her bag around where the telescope the Astronomy professor gave her was jutting out of it. "I've just come to look at the stars."

Shrugging Angel decided to just make nemself comfortable when Juniper didn't demand that ne leave on sight. "I figured that," ne replied with only a tiny little touch of nir usual sass. For Angel that was actually almost polite, or as close as ne came with people outside of the immediate Taylor family.
"I don't know, perhaps you want privacy?" Angel suggested, taking a probably rhetorical question seriously. "Even then, for all I know, you could hate the idea of hanging out with me alone." Ne didn't add the unspoken 'It wouldn't be the first time' because that would've reminded Angel of the orphanage and ne did nir best to forget about that place at every turn. Even in nir own mind the subject was taboo.
Angel had just barely crossed the room to situate nemself at a table alone when another made their own appearance. Apparently the top of the Astronomy tower was the place to be at the moment. Usually Angel had a flawless poker face, it came with years of in depth lying and carefully woven deceptions. This was usually because Angel barely bated an eye at Isabella's arrival. Did Isabella know what a dreadfully boring and at times depressing read her journal was? It seemed doubtful.
With a creak Angel leaned back in nir chair, arms open, gesturing grandly to an almost empty tower with a smirk. "Well you're in luck then," Ne announced at a casual and respectful volume given the late hour. "We were just talking about starting a club, weren't we Juniper?"

”Oh, good,” Junie replied serenely, giving them a small smile, the little bit of sarcasm in their words going on entirely ignored. She considered their words for a moment, tilting her head to the side slightly, deciding if perhaps she did want some privacy, but it truly hadn’t crossed her mind. She found no irritation in herself when she thought of others joining her there. She hadn’t been seeking others out, but she wasn’t opposed to anyone’s presence at the moment. “No, I don’t think so,” she said after a moment. “I’d tell you though, if I had wanted it,” she added reassuringly. She furrowed her brows then. “Angel, why would you think that?”
There were very few people that Junie would hate to spend time alone with, and the fellow Ravenclaw certainly wasn’t one of them. She considered herself to be pretty friendly, though admittedly some people could easily get on her nerves, she considered that to be a rarity. And when it was the case, there was no questioning about it. Well, mostly, if she didn’t like someone she simply forgot about their existence entirely, so perhaps it wasn’t as obvious as she thought it would be. Just as they got settled in, another person joined them. Juniper shook her head. “No, of course not,” she replied lightly giving the girl a small smile.
Her eyes went wide briefly at the gesture that Angel gave, the joke that slipped from their tongue. She was about to say that they weren’t really about to start a club, confusion rolling over her for a brief moment. Then it hit her that it was a joke and she laughed, her head tilting back, her hands clapping together once. “Oh, of course, our star watching club,” she agreed, waving her hand toward the sky. “The planets are supposed awfully bright tonight, though,” she added, her gaze now locked on the sky. “Venus particularly.”
