There was no way in hell that Ophelia was going home alone, Lydia insisted on going home with her. Her best mate needed her and she wasn't about to let her go through this alone. Hearing that Noah was engaged to Mia was shocking and confusing, but most of all it was completely and utterly maddening. After all her hard work getting Cy and him together this couldn't be the way it ends. He was supposed to be with Cy! It seemed that Noah felt the same way because he was there every evening at the Kenny's, but Lydia knew that eventually he'd have to stop once the engagement went public. Honestly, this was the last thing her friend needed. Finding out you were a Seer was hard enough, finding out by witnessing your best friend's mother's death was even worse. Lydia tried her best to be there for Ophelia, but she was worried that she had fallen short with her own grief. The least she could do was go home with her. It had been about a week since the girls left Hogwarts and the break was good for both of them. There were no external pressures at the Kenny's and they could simply relax and spend their time surrounded by the love Maeve and Darren provided.
Lydia woke that morning to the sound of birds singing their chorus outside of the bedroom window, sunlight from the rising sun filtering through the blinds. The blonde turned over to see Ophelia still sleeping, her arms crossed over her chest, rising and falling with each breath she took. Lydia sat up and stretched her limbs, letting out a huge yawn. Suddenly, there was movement beside her and she turned her head to see Ophelia stirring. "Well, it's about time," Liza teased her as she woke up. "How are you feeling?" It's been touch and go since Noah told her about everything. Well, really it's been touch and go since she found out she was a Seer. Lydia was trying her best to be there for her, but the young witch didn't know how to navigate this life change.

The past few days had been a struggle. Thankfully going home and having Lydia come with was one of the easier parts. Their headmistress had easily agreed to Ophelia taking a bit of a break and she really had needed it. Plus it meant that she got to spend most mornings with her mom and Lydia reading or chatting in the library by one of the fires during breakfast. That and Noah visiting helped. She liked it when Noah was here, the little things he did to show his care and that he was going to be around. Ophelia did love him. Really and truly and the idea of him being with someone else made her feel ill.
Ophelia started to wake to the sounds of birds chirping, a quiet sniff escaping her as she moved her arms from her chest and yawned, looking up at Lydia and huffing as she wrapped her arms around her friends waist, resting her head in Lydia’s lap. She was still tired, but thankfully there had been no dreams. Merlin, that was the last thing she needed right now, some prophecy waiting to come to light. “Good morning to you too.” She said quietly as she shut her eyes again, very content with the new bed she’d made of Liza’s lap. “What time is it?”

Cy wrapped her arms around her waist and nuzzled her head into her lap, Lydia's one hand coming down to stroke her blonde hair while she leaned on the other. It was comforting to be at the Kenny's as opposed to the castle, but Liza always felt at home here. More than she ever felt at her own house. Ophelia's sleepy voice asked what time it was and her brows inched together as a thoughtful hum escaped her. Looking at her wrist, she giggled. "Tell me why I'm waking up at seven in the morning when we don't even have to be at class." Lydia let out a dramatic sigh and tossed her head back, letting out another yawn. She had never been a morning person, so waking of her own accord this early was unusual for her. "Good news is we don't have to get up yet," she said, bringing her head back forward. "Bad news is we woke up far too early. I blame the birds."

“I think they woke us up for a reason.” Ophelia mumbled as she laid back with Liza, wrapped awkwardly around her friend until she adjusted so she was still curled up on top of her. She really had been enjoying her time home surrounded by her family. THATS really what all of the Bradleys were at this point as well. Just… found family. And her parents agreed readily, seeing both Lydia and Ryder in basically the same way they saw Ophelia. Hell, her dad had a stack of books for Ryder for when they went back to Hogwarts. It was early. She’d want a coffee and maybe a bit of breakfast here soon, but for now she was perfectly comfortable where she was, half asleep and curled up on her best friend. Of course they only had limited time before the dogs realized they were both awake and started bugging them to be let out and for breakfast of their own, she did love those dogs dearly.

"Well, it would be nice if we knew what that reason was," she muttered with a small giggle as they laid back. Her arms wrapped around Cy as she stared at the ceiling. Liza was hoping that the reason was a good one. They had had enough of death and disaster for one lifetime, so she hoped that the universe would send some good things their way. More than anyone, Ophelia needed that. Witnessing your friend's mother's death and having it come true, finding out you're a Seer, and then finding out your boyfriend is engaged to someone else was a lot for one person to handle, let alone a teenager. Yes, Lydia lost her mother and she mourns the loss of her each and every day, but it didn't seem a fair comparison to what Cy was going through. "Do you think your parents are up yet?" She was starting to get hungry.
