Lycamp was more successful than it had ever been in the weeks following its reopening. The counselors ensured that each wolf got their Wolfsbane each day of the week leading to the full moon. Ingredients were provided for them to practice brewing it, going off the textbooks provided and Liv's instruction. She had been thinking of running another demonstration next month when it occurred to her that no one could teach them better than the man who taught her. So she wrote to Professor Gauthier with an offer of opportunity to help werewolves, asking if he would meet her at the Three Broomsticks to discuss details if he was interested. He helped her out when she allowed herself to get so busy she forgot about it, supplying her with her enough Wolfsbane to last her, and she was hoping that she could repay the favor.
Olivia dressed casually. Well, as casually as she could get, wearing a pair of fancy black joggers with spotless white sneakers. Her wand was tucked in the purse that was draped over her torso along with a check and her purse of coins. When she arrived at the Three Broomsticks that evening, it was warm and inviting with lively chatter scattered throughout the inn. Liv breathed in the smell of butterbeer and cinnamon that brought back such fond memories, a warm smile pulling at her lips before her eyes scanned the room for Professor Gauthier. She found him easily and moved to slide into the booth with him, sitting directly across from him. "Thank you for meeting me," she said with an easy smile. "I don't know if you've heard about the charity work my father and I have been doing, but we've taken some steps to change the lives of werewolves across the country." Madam Rosmerta stopped by their booth and Liv ordered a butterbeer and waited for him to give his order before continuing, "I didn't forget the kindness you showed me and my kind and I thought I could interest you with a chance to teach dozens of werewolves to brew Wolfsbane this summer."

Mael was genuinely surprised when Liv's owl arrived. He figured the young woman had enough Wolfsbane to last her a while, but that was not the intention of the letter. She was requesting his help with helping other werewolves. Mael would not turn her down. He held a firm opinion that no one asked to be afflicted, and each werewolf deserved equal help wherever they could get it. Yes, the world was changing and they were more accepted, but there were some people that just didn't know how to move along with the times. Those were frustrating souls to deal with. Mael was grateful he didn't have the displeasure of running across many.
Leaving the house, he happily made his way to the Three Broomsticks. The place was full of life. He liked that. He liked the idea of being in a place where he was comfortable. Belgium. Hogwarts. Hogsmeade. Comfort could never be taken for granted. He found a spot to wait for Liv and busied himself with mulling over the beverage options. When his former student showed up, he welcomed her with a bright smile. "You're good company, no need for thanks." He nodded as she spoke about her and her father helping werewolves. It was a noble thing to do. He looked at Rosmerta and requested a butterbeer as well. Mael was giddy at the idea of teaching a bunch of werewolves over the summer. It would give him something to do instead of being locked up in his basement. "How could I possibly say no." He didn't even try to contain himself. Mael was a kid in a candy store. He'd get to brew and teach and possibly find someone who would find a love in Potions. "I need to gather some supplies," said, practically bouncing in his chair. "Do tell me more."

When she had written to her former professor she had a feeling he would be excited, but she was unprepared for how strong his reaction would be. Her lips spread into a bright grin at the absolute giddiness the wizard before her was expressing, letting out a joyful laugh as he was buzzing in his seat. Her heart warmed at the thought of her friends learning from the man who taught her best, knowing how much this would change their lives. "I'm very happy to see your excitement," she said, still smiling. "I was hoping that you would be able to run workshops for about a week. We'll break the camp into groups so no one is too overwhelmed with it. You'd be paid for your time, of course."
Madam Rosmerta arrived with their butterbeers, sliding them over with a smile. Olivia smiled back and placed a small handful of coins onto the table for the witch to take with her. Bringing her mug of butterbeer to her, Olivia raised the glass and sipped on her drink, the smooth liquid gliding down her throat and warming her up from the inside out. Its sweetness tasted familiar and stirred fond memories spent with her friends. Her lips pulled into a smile and she slowly lowered her butterbeer, her focus returning to Professor Gauthier. "I did my best to teach them when we reopened the camp, but I don't exactly have time to go back. There are some werewolves who know how to brew it and they're doing what they can for the others, but a lot of them aren't so motivated to learn. Not with their Wolfsbane being provided to them."

Mael was great at what he did, but being a professional often slipped his mind. He was far too soft-hearted and open to worry about the judgment of those around him. He acted in a manner that made him happy. Being giddy about teaching werewolves was no exception. He was the type of person who wanted to do something good in life. He didn't think he was going to change the world on some grand scale, but he could help with the process one potion at a time. Teaching at Lycamp would give him the opportunity to help someone reach their full potential. With the wolfsbane potion, they could keep control and go forth with their lives. It was one less problem they would have to worry about. They could focus on what made them happy. That was what mattered.
His expression softened just a touch when she spoke of payment. "That's unnecessary," he told her politely. "Being able to do something so special is payment enough." Mael was financially stable. He never took more than was necessary. He really had a heart of gold. A week seemed like such a short amount of time, but he knew from experience that every lesson counted. He'd watched first years come through his classroom door completely clueless, and after a mere week, they gained confidence and valuable experience. Mael was a firm believer that Potions tested more than your ability to follow instructions. Brewing revealed what type of person one was. Mental fortitude. Patience. Resilience. A thirst for knowledge. It opened doorways. "I can do a lot in a week," he reassured her.
When the drinks were brought over, he thanked Madam Rosmerta and left the mug where it was. "You've done great things," he told her earnestly. "They'll be in good hands. I'll see what I can do to get them motivated." He could be creative. Sometimes Mael tailored his lessons to the interest of his students. He couldn't fathom the idea of someone failing because they were just bored. Engagement was the key.

Professor Gauthier earned her respect during her final year at Hogwarts, but it has since tripled with his open acceptance and willingness to help other werewolves in need. Olivia had always been a selfish being. During her years at Hogwarts it was all about her. The only person she ever put before herself was Emilia, but she still ended up choosing herself when things got hard. Things have certainly changed since Hogwarts, since she became a werewolf, since Lycamp. Her life had not been that disrupted when she became a werewolf, but she has seen the state others like her were in. Olivia cared about more than herself, she cared about their suffering and she wanted to make a change. Fortunately for her, she was in the perfect position to do so.
His expression softened as he said payment was unnecessary and Liv felt her heart warm at his insistence that helping was enough. "That's very generous of you," she said, a little in awe at just how selfless her former professor was. It wasn't what she was expecting, even though she probably should have after what he has done for her. A week was not enough time to make them all proficient at brewing Wolfsbane, but it was enough for them to get by. At least until the next lesson. It would take a long time to get those living at Lycamp to brew the potion well, but all they needed was to brew it correctly. For now, the camp would continue to provide the monthly potion to all the wolves under its care. He said he could do a lot in a week and she nodded solemnly, knowing that he spoke the truth. Her shoulders relaxed.
"Thank you," she said with a smile, folding her hands around her mug. It was a start, at least, to reach her goals. One day, with her help, werewolves will be openly accepted in the Wizarding World. Attacks will be rare and Wolfsbane would be readily available. That was her hope anyway. "I couldn't think of anyone better to teach them. I don't know anyone else who could make someone love brewing so much." She raised her mug to her lips and took a slow sip, savoring the taste of the butterbeer. "Maybe you'll see some of them in your class soon," she told him. "There's a scholarship my teammate has started over here to help pay for the expenses and a few of them have already been accepted." They'd wait until the next school year to start at Hogwarts, but they were so excited.
