Through all the classes and Quidditch training where he tried to keep up appearance to the best of his ability, Izzy needed a moment alone. In public he couldn’t show any weakness because he knew that was where people would strike to break him down. Here in the tower, he could take a breather and recollect himself. Reflect on where he was supposed to go the upcoming summer and how he was going to afford everything for the next term while also paying for food and a roof. Another reason why Izzy had taken a moment away from his classmates was that he was counting his loot of the past month. He had to start from scratch again because he had to leave everything at that asshat’s place.
His pale long fingers slid the coins together to count them before his eyes turned to the stolen trinkets wondering how much he could pawn them off for. Izzy frowned and bit the callus on the rim of his left hand. “This is useless, it won’t even buy me one book for next term,” he hissed to himself in frustration. He could always steal them but wizards were a lot more creative with securing their stores and he hadn’t quite figured out how to bypass that.
Hearing footsteps coming up the stairs, Izzy started gathering his bounty and shoved everything in his pockets. To cover up what he actually was doing, he leaned against the poles and gazed outside broodingly. “What a day, huh? Sometimes I like to come up here so I can follow the raindrops falling down the clouds,” he bullshited something that sounded deep but had no real substance. That'd leave whoever came here confused for sure!

There was always a point in the term where things started going awry. None of that was more apparent than at Hogwarts. Everything, and Nadia meant everything, was bugging her. Her housemates. Her teammates. The idiot professors. The prefects. It was like everyone snorted up a bunch of "stupid potion" and let loose doing whatever the hell they wanted to. It was seriously driving Nadia up a wall. Was there not a single person in Hogwarts that wasn't a complete fool? Nadia was certainly thinking it so after the few weeks she'd had.
She climbed the stairs to the clock tower, letting out a soft sigh. The old book of charms she'd been reading a few days prior had been interrupted by one pesky Gryffindor and Nadia wasn't going to risk reading it in the library again. Her dorm was far too cold to hang out in all the time, the Astronomy Tower was always filled with a bunch of pesky Ravenclaw-- but the Clock Tower, that was a place usually abandoned. Emphasis on the usually, because as Nadia rounded the corner, the jingling of objects struck her as odd. Either there was a ghost rattling his chains, or a student was perched up in the Clock Tower and heard her coming and wanted to clean up quick. Ooh, that might be an even more entertaining option than her charm book.
Trying to conceal the grin that crept onto her face, she finally reached the top of the tower. Izzy Busy. Aka the Slytherin with the quickest hands-- if Nadia didn't know of his shifty tendencies, she might actually try to befriend him. She didn't condone stealing, but who was she to judge his situation-- it might've been out of necessity. Or just because he was a kleptomaniac. Nadia didn't know. "Izzy." Nadia greeted flatly, raising an eyebrow as she folded her hands behind her back. "Mm, what an interesting thing to say. It's too bad it's not raining right now." She glanced up to the ceiling, waiting for the sound of raindrops. "Oh. Look at that. No rain. So what are you really doing up here, then?"

He exhaled as he realized he just managed to get it done on time. The speed of his fingers had not let him down. Sometimes people called him Izzy Hands because of his fast fingers and also being the name of a nutritious pirate. Though there were many people who called him that while only knowing one meaning behind the nickname. He didn’t mind either way the nickname didn’t offend him. He could hardly deny being a modern day pirate, smuggling illegal stuff inside school with Nate for a few coins of profit. Though there had been a couple of girls who had heard the rumors of his talented fingers and had different ideas… which was ehh.. Well Izzy didn’t know what to make of it. While he might not suit the image of a romantic, he was one at heart. He liked getting to know someone before well… doing what they wanted him to do to them. Sure he was a flirt but that was mostly just for fun and testing the waters.
Izzy ran a hand through his hair, a small gesture of comfort. His mother always used to pat his head and brush his hair but he had no real memories of her. Would life have been different had she still been in the picture?
Out of all people it had to be someone he knew. His classmate and teamplayer knew him better than the average student. Which probably wasn’t much but she likely knew what kind of person he was. “Nadia,” he returned the flat greeting but added a hint of a smirk as his head tilted into her direction. Leaning against the window frame, he ran his glance over her to see if there was anything with her to subvert the attention of conversation too. His tired eyes fell on the book but before he could comment on it, she caught him in a lie about the rain. Izzy’s sideway smirk turned into a chuckle.
“Scary as ever, I see. You’ll make a fine auror one day,” he joked around and shrugged. “It was just a figure of speech, Nads. I’m not going mad, trust me,” he winked playfully before turning his gaze towards the big bell of the clock. “You might want to avoid stepping too close to that. There may or not be a trapwire I spun just now. Well unless you like getting whipped cream in the face, then do check it out. But you’re not my target.” Had he really planted a trap in the tower? No. But he was known for planting innocent traps as pranks to practice for the real world. At least when he was younger, he didn’t do it as often anymore. “Wouldn’t want to stain that book though. Looks interesting, care to tell me about it?”

Nadia didn't understand people like Izzy very well. She was hardworking-- both in school and Quidditch. She had time for her friends, she had time to inform this that irritated her that they irritated her, but she didn't have time to act sneaky and suspicious. Besides, she wasn't trying to feed into the bad reputation that the Slytherin House had. She could be a bitch, yes, but she wasn't evil or a criminal. People like Izzy-- well, they were spitting images of why people badmouthed their house.
Crossing her arms over her chest, book being held tightly in between, she raised her eyebrows at him. "I'm not scary. Nor do I have any interest in being an Auror." Nadia responded back, not wanting to humor his horrible joke. Nadia didn't find herself intimidating! She was a completely regular person. Sure, she was opinionated... but did that really make her scary? Maybe intimidating. But not scary. Izzy didn't know anything. His "figure of speech" sentence made her even more suspicious. He couldn't hide his clattering and thievery behind nonchalant gestures and winks-- Nadia wasn't an idiot. She heard his goods rattling about as she climbed the stairs.
"Trapwire? Are you serious?" She looked around, almost letting him think she'd believe it before letting out a proper laugh. "Merlin, do you really think me an idiot, Izzy?" She snorted, covering her mouth as she tried to get the laughter to subside. She huffed out, really trying to get her composure back-- Nadia wasn't the kind of person that got tickled easily, but when people were trying to trick her and it was horrendous she couldn't help herself. She rounded the bell tower, shaking her head as she approached Izzy. The only way past her was through her. "That's very funny. I haven't laughed that a hard in a while-- Too bad I definitely don't believe you now. Let me ask again, Izzy Busy, what are you really doing up here?"

Izzy was a hard worker, he'd take care of things by any means necessary. He wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty if it meant making sure his little brother was alright. Thing was, Kenny wasn't alright. He was quite dead and this left Izzy broken and lost. He'd failed his brother and no longer could justify what he did. But since it was all he knew he just kept doing it. Even if it no longer fulfilled him and just left him feeling empty. Now he just wanted to lash out to the world and curse it.
He shrugged at his roommate. “Shame, here I thought we'd make a stellar auror duo one day,” he smirked. It came to the surprise of a lot of people that Izzy wanted to become a crime fighter. He figured he just had the right skills. Knowing how criminals operated would give him the upper hand.
The dark haired boy hummed and tapped the wooden window stand with his fingers. “Not at all, really.” Many people would have fallen for it by now but not Wylde. Never Wylde. She also was the type who couldn't let things go. “You probably wouldn't even believe me if I said I was tickling my pickle. What are you hoping I was doing? Why are you so keen on finding out? Interested in getting to know me? Never thought you were interested in me like that,” he teased
