Liliana was finally back and Iola could not be more excited. The two of them had always been close, the absolute best of friends during their school years. But unlike most friends, these friends had kept secrets from each other. For the longest time after graduating, Iola never spoke to Liliana Quinn. Part of the reason was because she was on the run from Death Eaters after joining them like the naive child she was. When Iola came back to the Wizarding World all those years ago, she found her dear friend at Hogwarts with her again. She vowed from that day to never keep another secret from her.
Martin came with his undercover story and when he left, so did Liliana. The friends stayed in contact while Liliana traveled the world. She would visit at least once a year and the girls would always make time to see each other. When Iola and Nyle started to build their family, Aunt Liliana was there to see their children grow as best as she could. Charlie and Di and Eva were always happy to see her around Christmas time and not just because she brought presents. Now that she was back, they all could be together more frequently. Iola wasn't sure how Martin feels about her children, but he's never made a complaint about them.
Anyway, she was getting herself ready in her office to meet Liliana at the Three Broomsticks. Iola dressed herself, standing in front of the floor length mirror as she adjusted her earrings. Iola smiled warmly at her reflection, feeling happy for the first time since her conversation with Finch. Without wasting any more time, she left the castle and made her way to Hogsmeade.
After opening the double doors to the inn, Iola was greeted to warmth and lively chatter. Her icy blue gaze scanned the room, falling to rest on a familiar head of dark hair. Smiling, she made her way over. "Liliana," she greeted her with a quick kiss to each cheek before sitting down across from her. "So, what's it like being back? Are you happy?"
